ABOUT:
A Former Navy Chief’s Exciting Spy Novel Takes on Espionage and the Battle of the Sexes
Reprisal by Vince Huntington is a powerful love story set against the backdrop of San Diego, Vietnam, Hong Kong and terrorist spies
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – Reprisal by Vince Huntington examines how spies can infiltrate the United States’ interests and why lost love might be the most powerful weapon of all.
Onetime naval Master Chief and author Vince Huntington uncovers the shady world of spies and the inner workings of the military, in an edge-of-your-seat thriller about broken dreams, the CIA, the Hong Kong Police and mutiny. In Reprisal, Navy man Paul Vincent thinks he has it all, including a brilliant career and the woman he loves. But suddenly, he is facing court martial. When he goes missing in action in Vietnam, sabotage is suspected. But who might be blackmailing Paul and why? And where is he?
Reprisal draws on Huntington’s own gut-wrenching experiences in the Navy and explores the conflict between following orders and doing what is right. His background as a psychotherapist brings a keen understanding to the internal conflicts of his characters and to the notion of how the past shapes the future. Thrillingly authentic, Reprisal is part action adventure, part love story, and a wholly original read.
Reprisal is an engaging journey of unexpected emotions. Two stories, each of which could stand alone intertwine the worlds of men and women because of a war, and of those men and women despite the war. Reprisal represents relationships in intimate detail – love, sex and the accompanying conflicted choices. Vince Huntington’s explicit details will cause you to move off to a private place to read. Reprisal is a great story, a fine read. I first read it a few years ago in progress and encouraged Vince Huntington to finish the work. I loved it then. You’ll love it now as you openly relate to each person in the story. Fritz Klein, MD (psychiatry), and; Author: Life, Sex and the Pursuit of Happiness (2005)
