Therapy method: General cognitive-behavioral with a strong emphasis on understanding the person in light of his or her overall life and then working together to use that understanding to move forward to a more satisfactory life.
Experience: My training has run the gamut from my earliest years as a student at Stanford working at the Stanford Nursery School in the 60's, to four years as a registered nurse at an alcohol detox facility in Hawaii in the 70's. Later, I was staff psychologist at Veterans Administration Medical Center for two years. I have been in private practice now for nine years. I enjoy seeing a wide variety of people, and older folks are especially welcome.
